Serious Question: If you take viagra prior to sleep would nocturnal erections induce priapism?

If you take say 25mg’s of viagra, and have nothing wrong with you ED related. And then you go to sleep after ingesting the pill, would the natural nocturnal erections cause a priapism since viagra is in your system? Or would the erections subside like normal after nocturnal erection episodes even with viagra in your system?

Please only answer if you truly know the answer, or can ask a medical doctor (I’m not looking for hearsay) specifically a urologist. Thanks.

I get occasional advertising e-mails from an acquaintance. Since she is from a middling-wealthy family I think of her as not needing to make money by broadcasting Viagra ads and such. So, I wonder if her computer has been hijacked, or if the prospect of making money this way is realistic to her.

If hers has indeed been hijacked, then I wonder if my own computer may be similarly infected from opening her e-mails.

I’ve never seen any scientific evidence that viagra could enhance athletic performance. In fact, it doesn’t enhance sexual performance either, it simply helps men overcome erectile dysfunction. Once it take effect, the man’s performance is still dependent on his skill level!

The main reason that a performance enhancing drug isn’t allowed is not that it is on the banned list, it is because they artificially enhance performance (being on the list is the effect, enhancing performance is the cause, you’re stating it backwards). So for viagra would have to be proven to either be artificially enhancing the athletic performance of competitors, or be a danger to their health, to be put on the banned list.

An interesting side note: some studies have linked viagra usage to increased recovery from jet lag. While this wouldn’t be considered enhanced performance, it could benefit athletes when they have to travel long distances for competition.

EDIT: Also, there was always this plan in high school that if we could get some viagra, it might be easier to stretch towards the finish in a close race…
